Scarrmlell The minutes of the previous meeting of August 7th 1959 anc' the Special Meeting of August 26th 1959 were read and adopted. . • . • Moved by Councillor McAleese that the Secretary~s statements of Receipts Disbursements and monthly progress for the month of August be accepted• Carried. ,, • • • • s NLinutes and reports of the Medicine Hat Health Unit were read ~ ,, ,:` discussed and ordered filed • • . ., A letter from the Department of Public Welfare re Assistance to unmarried Mothers way read and ordered filed. . . . A letter from Alberta Civil Defence re a revised Civil Defence bylaw was read and ordered filed. . • . . rioved by Councillor Armstrong that the County give support to the request of the Village of Rosemary for the Provincial Government to build them an access road to the Trans-Canada highway. It was unanimously agreed that insurance coverage for councillors offered by the Jubilee Insurande Agencies be taken advantage of• w • • • • A letter from Chronik Construction re the Rosemary holdbacl~ was read and referred to his visit with the Council at 2:30 p•m. . . . . A letter from the Town of Brooks. refusing sale and offering lease of the parcel of land west of the present yard was referred to the secretary for attention. . . Reports of Committees Municipal. Chronik attended the meeting to discuss the conditions at the Rolling hills school. . , . They both admitted that the floor job was not a 100 job and I~ir. Chronik gave his personal guarantee that he would 'nave a satisfactory job done bar October 31st, 1959. . , I•oved by Councillor Eastman that the holdback on Chronik Construction be reduced to ~ 2,000.00. . .
