The minutes of the previous meeting of July 10th, 1958 were read and adopted. ................ %~ ~ i i ~~i I~ ~ ~. Moved by Councillor McAleese that the Secretaryts reports of receipts, payments, and monthly progress for the month of July be accepted. Carried. ................ A letter from the St. Johnts Ambulance organization was read and ordered filed. ................ The Secretary was directed to advise the Canadian Pacific Railway Co. that the County had no objection to the closing of the stations at Verger, Granta, and Denham. ................. The Secretary reported with regaxd to the damage to the Haddingtan School. ................ Arising from a letter from the Dept. of Education re ;Smoking in School Buses, the Secretary was directed to have copies circulated and posted in buses. ................ Reports of Committees School Moved by Councillor Plumer that the report of the :School Consnittee be accepted. Carried. ................ The Secretary was dixected to have the Civil Defence building closed in and all windows boarded up. ................. Moved by Councillor Vossler that the salary of the Tilley School janitor be increased to $240.00 per month commencing September 1,1959. Carried. ................. ~/ The Secretary was instructed to have a Sump Pump installed in the /~/~ Tilley School Basement. ~ /,~L, 1 Moved by Councillor Plurr~er•that•a•teacherage be built at Patricia !.' providing the cost does not exceed X5,000.00.
