Members present Chairman Councillors N.A.Shuttleworth O.Vossler P.McAleese W.Lokier J.Hajash H.Scammell Secretary-Treas. .................. The minutes of the previous meeting of June 5, 1959 were read and adopted. .................. i~ioved by Councillor McAleese that the Secretaryts reports of Receipts, Disbursements, & Monthly Progress for the month of June be accepted. Carried. .................. A circular letter from Municipal Financing Corporation requesting p,% ,-, ~ close scrutiny of capital requirements was read and ordered filed. I '~ .................. ~~ -\ ~ ~/ ~ A letter from Lethbridge Central Feeders requesting consideration of the proposal to increase the ma~~~+ load for Livestock Semi- ~ Trailers was read. ' The Secretary was directed to advise them that in the opinion of the Council, the road conditions in this area, plus the many bridge problems did not warrant this County=s support to the proposed increase. .................. The offer of T.Charlton to purchase Lot 27, Block 3, Plan No.1349 B.A., Millicent for the sum of 1G.00 was refused. .................. The Secretary reported with regard to the Senior Citizens Home proposed site, which was approved. .................. Correspondence from the Oil & Gas Conservation Board re the possibility of obtaining gas for the Rolling Hills School, was read and the Secretary directed to continue inquiry as to the capped well within the Hamlet. .................. The Secretary was directed to proceed with the re-roofing of the old Tilley School on the basis of the DeBoon Roofing Gompany~s ~- 20-year Guaranteed Roof policy. .................. Adjourned for lunch -12:30 to 2:00 p.m. .................. Moved by Councillor Shuttleworth that Bylaw No. 191 to authorize the purchase of a International Tandem Truck from Finnegan Farming Co.Ltd. for the sum of X9,000.00 be given First,Second oc Third readings and finally passed.
