The regular monthly meeting of the Council of the County of Newell No. 4 was held in the County Office in Brooks, Alberta, at 10:00 a,m. on Friday, November 7, 1958. ~ . . The minutes of the meeting of October 10, 1958 were read 2 adopted. . . . . Due to the volume of work on account of late October collections monthly statements could not be prepared for the meeting. ~ . . A letter from Municipal Financing Corporation re Annual P.eetin was read and ordered filed. i . . . A letter from Department of Municipal Affairs re the application of the Mobile Equipment Act to irrigation districtts machinery was read axed ordered filed. . a . Moved by Councillor Shuttleworth that membership in the Brooks Area Film Council be renewed in the sum of 20.00. ' Carried. . . . to the Alberta Assessment Commission. ~ Carried. Moved by Councillor Shuttleworth that the decision of the Village of Rosemary re Frontage Assessment for the school property be appealed . . . . . An offer to purchase the Antelope Creek school barn was ordered held pending inspection of the whole property there. . • . . Inspection report of October 6, 1958 for the Rosemary school was ,, ordered held for verification of correction to heat duct, ... A letter from the Department of Education re Unorganized Territory was read and referred to the secretary to reconcile with the ~' E.I.D. as to the date of the proposed meeting. (December 2nd.) . . . A letter from the Minister of Public Welfare re Senior Citizens Homes was read and ordered filed. . .
