was held in the County Office in Brooks, Alberta, at 10:00 a.m.

A letter from Fooks & 1~Ii1ne re the prospect of the floor laying ~-
contract in the Rosemary school by Brojnstein was read and ordered
filed.

A School Building Inspection Report for the Rosemary school
was presented and ordered filed.. ~"~

Advice was received from the Provincial Treasurer that the
assistance for the Rosemary school was approved i.n the sum of
~ 176,413.50. ",.

Progress Report # la.for the Rosemary school in the amount of
~ 38,613,$0 was approved. ~

The financial report of the Medicine Hat Assoc. for Retarded
Children was received.

A letter from the Department of Highways, Surveys Branch, with regaxd
to road diversions was read and the secretary reported that efforts ~
would be made to secure the land by easement or some similar method.

Moved by Councillor Shuttleworth that a letter of approval be
furnished Imperiak Oil Co, for above ground tanks at Rolling Hills,

represent the County in the matter of a Senior Citizenis Home in

A letter from the Provincial Treasurer advised that the Bassano
hospital debentures had been completed and the Municipal Financing
Corporation would not be able to assist.

A letter from Mr. Maldaner re his daughterts attendance at the /-
school for Retarded Children was read.

Moved by Councillor Armstrong that the additional tuition fee of
$ 10.00 per month and the living out allowance be increased to /
~ l.~0.00 on account of Rena rTaldaner.
Carried.
Moved by Councillor McAleese that ~ 100.00 be allowed for expenses
to delegates attending the 1958 Municipal Convention in Edmonton.

Cornnittee be accepted.

Moved by Councillor McAleese thatcthe report of the Civil Defence
Committee be accepted.

Moved by Councillor Eastman that the report of the School Committee
be accepted.

Moved by Councillor McAleese that the offer of J. A. Sears to
purchase the old teacherage and the barn at the Haddington school ~
for the sum of $ 575.00 be accepted.

Moved by Councillor McAleese that the odd shed at the Haddington
school be sold to Adam Richter for ~ 25.00. '~

Moved by Councillor xEastman that the pressure tank in the Tilley
school be offered for sale to the Village of Rosemary for ~ 200.00,
the purchasers to remove it at their own expense.

The Secretary was directed to advise the Alberta Municipal Financing
Corporation that the County would possibly have need fora ~'

The offer of John Pokorney to purchase the small teacherage and
outhouse at Renfrew school for ~ 35,00 was refused. ~,_

the Premier and the Hon. N.A, Willnwre~ Minister of Lands & Forests,
of its desire to keep this County closed to deer and antelope shooting,
