The minutes of the previous meetings of Nfarch 7th and .April 3rd, 1958, were read and adopted. • • f • Moved by Councillor Eastman that the uecretaryrs report of Receipts and Disbursements for the month of March be accepted, ~ Carried. . . . ~A letter from the Bepartment of Agriculture nominating Ira Lapp to represent the Department on the Agricultural Service Board was read and ordered filed, •:~.. A~letter from Dr, Swift re Unorganized Lands was read and ordered filed. ' . . The Council did not favor the request for assistance by the % Farmers Union. . . !Approval was given to an ~ 80,00 per month relief allowance to Mrs. Plant, Rainier. "' • • • • The week of May 5-12th vas declared Clean Up 'ddeek. . . bbved by Councillor Mc9leese that Bylaw No. 169 to donate ~ 100.00 to the Canadian Institute for the Blind be given 1st, 2nd and 3rd readings and finally passed. Carried Unan, f • 4 The Secretary was directed to advise the Department of Public Welfare that the County did not wish to extenEL their speech therapy project beyond the County and would not assist in the Miss Miller, Lethbridge, proposal. . .
