The regular meeting of the Council of the County of Newell No• 4 was held mn the County Office in Brooks, 6lberta, at 10:00 a.mo on Friday, October 12th, 1956. . . Members present: Chairman Councillors Secretary-Treasurer N. h, Shuttleworth J. Mortensen K. Waraksa G. Douglass P, ~;cAleese R. Armstrong W. Lokier H. Ockey H. C. Scammell . . The minutes of the meeting of September 14tH., 1956, were read and adopted. . . Moved by Councillor Ockey that the Secretaxyts reports of receipts and disbursements and monthly progress for tiie month of September be accepted. Carried, . . Certificate # 5 for payment on account of the Bassano school was received from Meech, IvLi.tchell and associates and ordered paid. . . A letter from Agatha Dueck requesting Public Welfare Assistance was read and the matter referred to Councillor Douglass to r- investigate, . , The Secretary was directed to recommend a mother's allowance of ~ 75000 per month for Mrs. Davidson, Patricia, . .
