The regular monthly meeting of the 1~ ounty Council of the County
of Newell No. 4 was held in the County Office in Brooks, Alberta,
at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 1l~.th, 195b.

The minutes of the meeting of August; 10th, 195b and the Court
of Revision of September 11th, 1956, were r~$ad and adopted,

Moved by Councillor McAleese, that the Secretary's Statement;;.
of Receipts, Expenditures and Monthly Progress for the month
of lugust be accepted.

school changes and grants etc. was read and ordered filed,

Moved by Councillor Ockey, that Mr. Olie Kupchenko be requested

of agriculture's nomination of G. Philpott to represent the

Moved by Councillor McAleese that the report of the Municipal
Committee be accepted,,.

Civil Defence.
Moved by Councillor Lokier, that Mr. George Cherritt be compensated
for his duties with regard to Civil Defence on the basis of
~ 300.00 per year.

~ Moved by Councillor Ockey, that in view of the saving in price
~. Tape Recorders be ordered for use in the Tilley, Bassano,
Duchess and Rolling Bills schools.

easterly two teacherages in Rosemary and also the northerly

drive school vans.

forwarded to Edmonton objecting to the suggested imposing of i'
