The regular monthly meeting of the Council of tze County. of
Newell luo. l,. was held in the County Office in i3rooks, rl.berta,
at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, ~'ugust 10th, 195b.

Mr. Frank Eipta met tree Council to explain the account of ~~
168.00 submitted by him for work done on tiae Rplling hills
school during the month of July.

Revenue, Expenditure and the monthly progress oe accepted.

read and ordered filed.

A letter from Mothers Allowance Branch re Ads. Bodie ~•ras read
and ordered filed.

A letter and township maps were received from ratepayers at
Tilley requesting that application be made for P.F.a.A. on those lands
indicated as being hailed.

Moved by Councillor Lokier that all of the Councillors be
requested to give consideration to attending tl:e Civil Def erce
Orientation Course to be held in Edmonton September 17tr. to 21st, 1956.

A letter from Mahoney & Starritt re the acquiring of tree Sillito
property in Rosemary was read and the Secretary ~~aas directed
to advise that this did not conform to a previous arrangement
by Councillor Ockey with P•r. Sillito Sr.
