The new councillor, Mr. R. G._4lrrmstrong, was sw eted Moved by Councillor Ockey, that the Secret~y's report of Revenue and ~penditure and monthly progress for t!'ie month of May be accepted. Carried. the Official Oath of Office attached to these ~ ~f~6~~~`~u' ~, ~ /l x Q x il..,teredr~cca~~r. The minutes of the meeting of May 11th, 1?56, were read anc"-~~,dopted. A letter from the Mother's Allowance Branch re Mrs. McArthur was read and ordered filed. ~ A letter from the Prairie Farm Assistance re receipts and payments 1939-1956 was read and ordered filed. ~ betters from the Department of Education re the B,osemary addition and the gymnasiums at Tmlley and Duchess were read and ordered filed. Moved by Councillor Shuttleworth, that the Licensing Branch be eadvised that t he County had no objection to the moving of a building by A. W. Prestwich from Rolling Hills to his motel location north of Brooks. Carried. Letters of thanks for donations from the Salvation Army and the Mental Health Assns. were read and ordered filed. Arrangements to meet with the P4. ~. Forty rule and roremost School Div. were left to the Chairman and Secretary. Moved by`Councillor Plumer that authority be given Councillor Douglass to arrange for the enlargement of the ~~,ar~ge Coulee teacherage. Carried. ,A~ricultural Service Board. Moved by Councillor Lokier, that Bylaw No. 1~.3, to provide for the reclamation of part of N.1~d. 5 - 19 - 15 - !~ be given :~d.st, 2nd and 3rd readings and finally passed. Carried Unan. . . Moved by Councillor Lokier, that the report of the Agricultural ~ Service Board be accepted. Carried.' Mr. Fooks met-the Committee to discuss the Tilley gymnasium and the Rolling Hills school. Mr. .Albert Dale met the Committee to discuss school plans generally. A delegation from the Rosemary Home and School met the Committee to express their wishes with regard to the proposed new addition _ at Rosemary school. Carried. Moved by Councillor 5hy~ttleworth, that Councillor ~~rmstrong ~ be appointed to the School Committee. Carried. Moved by Councillor McAleese, that Councillor Mortensen be appointed to the Agricultural Service Board. Carried. . . Moved by Councillor Ockey, that the matter of building a new school at Rolling Hills on a similar plan to the Maxim Light school for Taber, be proceeded with.
