SEPTEMBER 24th, 1954
A Special Meeting of the Council, and the members of the
School Committee was hold in the County Office in Brooks, at
3:00 P.M. on Friday, September 24, 1954.

jThe meeting was called by the County Chairman, for the
purpose of meeting with the Ministers of Education and
Municipal Affairs, to discuss mutual problems.
Notices of the meeting were'mailed to all members.

In the absence of the County Chairman at the beginning of
the meeting, Councillor Ockey was unanimously approved as
Chairman.
Mr. Aalborg conveyed to the Council the regrets of Mr.
Gerhart, who was unable to attend the meeting due to sickness.

A submissions having regard to the apparent complications,
weaknesses, and suggested remedies relating to the recent
difficulties with the Teachirig'Profession was read and
discussed. 0000.0
It was unanimously agreed, the County business other than
that for which the meeting was called, be discussed.

Moved by Councillor Arrison that the correspondence course
charges or e following students be paid for by the County.
