his remuneration to be:
£3.00 per day.

N.B. The $.00 per day was only tentatively set, pending Mr. Wigmores
advice as to his present rate with the E.I.D.

Dear Sir:
Enclosed please find a certified copy of Order in
Council 18802 which provides for the formation of the
County of Newell No, 4, effective as on and from the first
day of January 1953, as provided for in Section 4, subsection
2 of The County Act.
On the effective date of the formation of the
County the council of your municipal district ceases to
function and an administrator will be appointed to administer
the affairs of the county until the first meeting of the
newly elected county council.
We will be advising you shortly of the appointment
of the administrator.

The Nxeautive Council has had under consideration the
report of the Honourable the Minister of Municipal Affairs, dated
December 20th, 1952, stating that:
JURAW pursuant to the provisions of section 3(2) of
T$B COMPIT ACT, being chapter 15 of the Statutes of Alberta, 1950,
A resolution has been received from the council of the Municipal
District of Newell, No. 28, that a County be formed in an area which
would include the said Municipal District; and
WS3! it is advisable and expedient to do so;
U013, Upon the recommendation of the Honourable
the Minister of Municipal Affairs, the lxscutive Council advises
that the resolution to form a County in the area be implemented and
that the County shall be known as *THE COUNTY OF NrW= No. 44, and
that the said County be and is hereby established by incorporating

All of the Municipal District of Newell No. 28
Part of the Municipal District of Bow valley No. 40
so that on and after the First day of January, 1953► the County of
Newell No. 4 shall be comprised of the following lands:
T'owashipS 14 to 20 (inclusive). and that portion of
Township 21 South of the Red Deer River, all in Range 11
SornshiPs 14 to 20 (inclusive), and those portions of

'ad. Portions of SectioAs 31, 32 and 34 in Township
131 lying north of the Bow liver; that portion of
Township 14 lying north of the Bow River; all of
TOWAS-UPS 13 to 21. inclusive, and that part of

Range 1,3.

Of the Blackfoot Indian Reserve No. 146, the east
Ulf and south west quarter of section 23, the south
east quarter of Section 26 and the east half of
Section 36 in Township 21, all in Range 19. _
All of the above described lands being west of the 4th
Meridian.
The Executive Council further advises, upon the recommendation
Of the Honourable the Minister of Municipal Affairs, that the number of
councillors to be elected shall be nine in number and that the electoral
divisions sball be as follows:

Township 16. in Ranges 11 and 12.
