Council Minutes -March 23.2000 Minutes of the March 23, 2000 meeting were presented. Moved by Councillor Douglass that we adopt the minutes as presented. Carried. 3. Call for Post Agenda Items The Reeve cal led for post agenda items. Arrived at Meetins Councillor Fabian arrived at the meeting at 10:04 a.m. 4. April 6, 2000 Page 51 Business from Minutes 18 Bylaw # 1316-00 - 2000 Tax Rate Bylaw Moved by Councillor Loewen that Bylaw # 1316-00, being a bylaw for the purpose of authorizing the various rates of taxation for various purposes in the year 2000, receive second reading. Moved by Councillor Douglass that Bylaw #1316-00 be amended as presented by administration. Vote on amendment. Carried. Vote on second reading. Carried. Moved by Councillor Harbinson that Bylaw #1316-00 receive third and final reading. Carried. 6. Correspondence There were no Correspondence items. 7. Other Business 1. 2000 Audit Services Moved by Councillor Fabian that we appoint Young, Parkyn, M`Nab & Co. as the County Auditors for 2000. Carried. .... ~ ~. 2. Memo from Colin Kisko - Unsightly Premises at Patricia Moved by Councillor Harbinson that, if there has been a written complaint previously that has been satisfactorily dealt with, should the same situation arise again we would require another written complaint to act. Carried. 3. Lots 1 & 2, Block 1, Plan 8210258 -Rolling Hills Moved by Councillor Baksa that we authorize the Special Constable to take the necessary steps for the clean up of Lots 1 & 2, Block 1, Plan 8210258 in Rolling Hills. Carried. 4. Secondary Highway Reserves Moved by Councillor Loewen that we close out the S.H. 876 Reserve, the S.H. 525 Reserve and the Secondary Special Fund and transfer these funds to a Special Road Project Fund to be used for our portion of the costs of shared road projects or other road projects deemed to be of significant importance to the County of Newell; that within this fund the monies from the S.H. 876 Reserve and the S.H. 525 Reserve be identified; and that we continue to budget $200,000.00 annually for the Special Road Project Fund and reinvest interest earned by the fund back into the reserve. The Public Hearing dealt with Bylaw 1309-00, being a bylaw to amend Land Use Bylaw 1004-90 to change a Pt. of NW 21-18-15-W4 from Agricultural District to Agricultural Industrial District. The Planner presented information on this land use change. The applicant, Whaley Mar, was given the opportunity to speak.
