MINUTES OF SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING

A Special Council Meeting of the County of Newell No. 4 was held in the
County Office at Brooks, AB on Wednesday, April 25, 2007 commencing
at 8:33 a.m.

ATTENDANCE:
1. 2007 OPERATING BUDGET
The Administrator presented the 2007 budget to Council and reviewed
changes made from the last budget meeting.

Councillor Eckert arrived at the meeting at 8:35 a.m.
Councillor Eastman arrived at the meeting at 8:40 a.m.
C-197/07 MOVED BY COUNCILLOR I. SCHROEDER that the 2007 budget, in the
amount of $55,803,546.00, be adopted as presented.
MOTION CARRIED
The 2007 Operating and Capital Budget is attached to and forms part of
these minutes.

2. BYLAW 1617-07 -TAX RATES BYLAW
C-198/07 MOVED BY COUNCILLOR M. NESBITT that Bylaw 1617-07 be
amended to reflect the "2007" requisitions for the Newell Foundation and
Alberta School Foundation Fund.
MOTION CARRIED
C-199/07 MOVED BY COUNCILLOR C. VERMEEREN that Bylaw 1617-07, being
a bylaw for the purpose of authorizing the various rates of taxation for
various purposes in the year 2007, receive second reading with
amendments.
MOTION CARRIED
C-200/07 MOVED BY COUNCILLOR H. WUTZKE that Bylaw 1617-07 receive
third and final reading.
MOTION CARRIED
3. ADJOURN
C-201/07 MOVED BY COUNCILLOR I. SCHROEDER that the meeting adjourn at
