A Special Council Meeting of the County of Newell No. 4 was held in the County Office
at Brooks, AB on Tuesday, June 26, 2007 commencing at 12:05 p.m.

Reeve Douglass called the meeting to order at 12:05 p.m.
C -296/07 MOVED BY COUNCILLOR C. VERMEEREN that the employment agreement with
Kevin Stephenson be approved as presented.

SPECIAL MEETING NOTICE
Article 6.3 of the County of Newell No. 4 By-law No. 1407-02 being a bylaw to regulate
the proceedings of Council provides for the call of a Special Meeting of Council with less
than 24 hours notice, and reads as follows:
"A special Council Meeting may be held with less than 24 hours' notice to all
Councillors and without notice to the public if at least 2/3 of the whole Council
agrees to this, in writing, before the beginning of the meeting."
As Reeve, I am calling this special meeting of Council to deal with the employment
contract proposed for Kevin Stephenson.
Article 6.4 should be reviewed with this notice as well, and reads as follows:
" No matter other than that stated in the notice calling the special Council
Meeting may be transacted at the meeting unless the whole Council is present at
the meeting and the Council agrees to deal with the matter in question'
