TITLE: COMMITTEE & BOARD MEMBER AT LARGE COMPENSATION

POLICY PURPOSE:
The purpose of this policy is to establish fair and equitable compensation for members at large
serving on specific Council Committees and Boards where compensation is appropriate given
the nature of the Committee and the responsibility involved.

POLICY GUIDELINES:
Unless otherwise specified by Council, only those members at large serving on the following
Committees or Boards which fill a mandatory legislative role or require formal training prior to
serving in that capacity are to be compensated at the equivalent per diem rate (excluding the
monthly base allowance) set out in the Councillor’s Compensation and Expenses Policy:
1. Agriculture Pest Act / Weed Control Act Appeal Committee
2. Assessment Review Board Subdivision Development and Appeal Board
The Councillor Compensation and Review Committee will review and approve claims submitted
by the Members at Large serving on the above noted Committees or Boards.
