County of Newell No. 4
By-law 1029-91
A By-law of the County of Newell No. 4, in the Province of
Alberta, for the purpose of closing to public travel and lease
of a portion of public highway in accordance with Sections
180 & 182 of the Municipal Government Act, Chapter M-26, Revised
Statutues of Alberta 1980.
Whereas the lands hereafter described are no longer required
for public travel, and
Whereas application has been made to the Council to have the
highway closed and leased, and
Whereas notice of intention of the Council to pass a By-law
has been mailed by registered mail to persons registered or
assessed as owners of the land abutting upon the portion of
the highway so proposed to be closed at least two weeks before
the date fixed for the passing of the By-law, and
Whereas notice of intention of the Council to pass a By-law
has been published in the Brooks Bulletin on April 24, 1991
and May 1, 1991, and
Whereas Council was not petitioned for an opportunity to be
heard by any person prejudicially affected by the By-law
Now therefore be it resolved that the Council of the County
of Newell No. 4 does hereby close and lease the following
described highway, subject to rights of access granted by other
legislation or regulations: That portion of the road allowance
lying West of Sections 8 & 17', and between Sections 8 & 17,
in Township 17, Range 15, W4.
Excepting thereout all mines and minerals."
