IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA
BYLAW 1902-18
BEING a bylaw of the County of Newell in the Province of Alberta to revise Bylaw 1877-16 to correct a
clerical error.
WHEREAS Section 63(1) and Section 63(2)(g) of the Municipal Government Act, Revised Statutes of
Alberta 2000, Chapter M-26, as amended, provides that a council may by bylaw authorize the revision of a
bylaw(s) to correct clerical, grammatical and typographical errors; and
WHEREAS Section 692(6) of the Municipal Government Act, Revised Statutes of Alberta 2000, Chapter
M-26, as amended, provides that a bylaw may be amended without giving notice or holding a public hearing
if the amendment corrects clerical, technical, grammatical or typographical errors and does not materially
affect the bylaw in principle or substance; and
WHEREAS an error has been identified in the legal land description by the Land Title Office in Bylaw 1877-
16 being a bylaw to close and sell a portion of road within the municipality; and
WHEREAS the Council of the County of Newell deems it proper and expedient to correct the clerical error
and deems that the correction does not materially affect the bylaw in principle or substance;
WHEREAS the chief administrative officer has certified that the proposed revision has been prepared in
accordance with Section 63;
NOW THEREFORE, under the authority and subject to the provisions of the Municipal Government Act,
Revised Statutes of Alberta 2000, Chapter M-26, as amended, the Council of the County of Newell in the
Province of Alberta duly assembled does hereby enact the following:
1. That the legal land description of Bylaw 1877-16 be replaced with the following:
PLAN 4111 EA
ALL THAT PORTION OF F/RST STREET WHICH LIES TO THE WEST OF A L/NE DRAWN
FROM THE SOUTH EAST CORNER OF BLOCK 4, PLAN 891 0442, TO THE NORTH EAST
CORNER OF LOT 2, BLOCK 5, PLAN 091 5230,AND TO THE NORTH EAST OF A LINE
DRAWN FROM THE SOUTH WEST CORNER OF BLOCK 4, PLAN 891 0442, TO THE
NORTH WEST CORNER OF LOT 2, BLOCK 5, PLAN 091 5230
EXCEPT/NG THEREOUT ALL MINES AND MINERALS
CONTA/NING 0.269 HECTARES(0.66 ACRES)MORE OR LESS
2. Bylaw 1877-16 are hereby amended.
3. This bylaw shall come into effect upon third and final reading hereof.
