21st Annual Meeting
March 13, 197Q.
The 21st Annual Meeting of the County of Newell No. 4 was held in
the Elks Hall, Brooks, Alberta, on Wednesday, March 13, 19'74 at
2:00 p.m.

There were 28 ratepayers in attendance.
Meeting was opened for nomination of Chairman for this meeting.
Mr. J. Hajash nominated Mr. Frank Bergen as Chairman.
Mr. A. Nielsen moved that nominations cease, Carried.
Nominations were opened for Secretary for this meeting.
Mr. M. Valli nominated D. James as Secretary for the meeting.
Moved by Mr. J. Hajash that nominations cease. Carried.
Moved by Mr. M. Valli, seconded by Mr. J. Hajash that the proposed
Agenda be accepted. Carried.
Minutes of the 20th Annual Meeting were read.
Moved by Mr. D. Jacobsen, seconded by Mr. A. Nielsen, that the
minutes be adopted as read. Carried.
The Municipal InspectorTS Report for 19'73 was read. Moved by Mrs.
L. Norton, seconded by Mr. J. Hajash, that the Inspector's Report
be accepted as read. Carried.
The Reevefs Report was received. Moved by M. Valli, seconded by
C. Andrews, that we accept the Reeve's Report. Carried.
School Report
Superintendent of Schools Report was received. Moved by
rir. A, Nielsen, seconded by Mrs. G. Norton, that we accept the
Superintendent's Report. Carried.
School Committee Chairman's Report was received.
The Municipal Committee Chairman~s Report was received. Moved by
Mr. J. Hajash, seconded by Mr. M. Valli, that we accept this report.
Carried.
Agriculture Service Board Chairman~s Report was received. Moved by
Mr. H. Janzen, seconded by Mr. C. Beck, that we accept this report.
Carried.
Bassano Hospital Report was received. Moved by Mrs. L. Norton,
seconded by Mr. J. Hajash that we accept this report. Carried.
Brooks Hospital & Nursing Home District Report was received. Moved
by Mr. Bartlett, seconded by Mr. B. Lore, that we accept this report.
Carried.
Senior Citizens Home Report was received. Moved by Mr. Tom Musgrove,
seconded by Mr. A. Nielsen, that we accept this report. Carried.
New Business•
Moved by Mr. M. Valli, seconded by Mr. N. Tautfest, that the County
of Newell be declared a closed area for all hunting of deer and
antelope. Carried.
Mr. M. Valli gave a vote of thanks to the County for the past years
operation.
Moved by Mr. J. Hajash that the meeting adjourn.
Meeting adjourned at 3:30 p.m.
