An Organizational Meeting of the Municipal Planning Coffiission of the
County of Newell No. 4 was held in the County Office at Brooks, Alberta
on July 24, 1980 at 1:45 p.m.
Members in attendance were T. Musgrove
H. Janzen
L. Brockelsby
S. Merkl
E. Willms

The meeting was called to order by the Administrator, D. James
Election of Chairman
S. Merk1 nominated E. Willms. E. Willms nominated H. Janzen.
Councillor Musgrove moved nominations cease. Carried. H. Janzen
was elected Chairman by vote of members.

Election of Vice Chairman

Councillor Janzen nominated E. Willms. Moved by Councillor
Musgrove that nominations cease. Carried. E. Willms was declared
Vice Chairman.

Appointment df Secretary
j The appointment of Secretary is to be made by County Council.

Meeting Dates
1 Moved by Councillor Brockelsby that meetings be held on Wednesday
of the third full week each•month: Carried.
Mileage Rates
Moved by Councillor Brockelsby that members be paid mileage at
the County rates of 26~ per mile. Carried.

Moved by Councillor Musgrove that members be paid the County rate
of $75.00 per meeting. Carried:

~ 1. Ross Spence Subdivision and Z.one
This matter and the Barg subdivision were referred to County Counci
for study.
2, k'ermit Fees -- Advertisin
'~ Moved by S. Merkl that the fee for development permits be set at
$25.00. Carried.

3. Advertising
Moved by Councillor Musgrove that development applications be
advertised in the local newspaper. Carried.

4. Survey Certif icates
Moved by Councillor Brockelsby that a copy of survey certificates
be retained on our files. Carried.

5. By-laws for public Use
The Development Control Officer advised that copies of the Land
Use By-law would be available for public use. Moved by Councillor
Janzen that a f ee of $5.00 be charged as a deposit or for purchase
of the Land Use By-law. Carried.
6. G. Alcock - Auto Wreckers
The matter was referred to County Council.

The matter was referred to County Council.

8. Development Control Officer's Report
The Development Control Officer presented his first report to
the Commission.

Moved by Councillor Janzen that the meeting .adjourn at 2:30 p.m.
