Municipal Planning Commission
November 26, 1980
The regular meeting of the Municipal Planning Commission of the
County of Newell No. 4 was held in the County Office at Brooks,
Alberta on November 26, 1980 at 7:45 p.m.

The meeting was called to order by the Vice-Chairman, S. Merkl.
1. Minutes
The minutes of the meeting held October 29, 1980 were read to the
Coannssion. The Vice-Chairman declared them adopted as read.
2, Business from Minutes
Councillor Musgrove advised that the hamlet regulations recommended
to County Council in the October 29, 1980 meeting have not been
approved at this time.
3. New Business:
1. Development Control Officer's Report
The Development Control Officer presented his report for November.

2. Development Application, Land Use Changes and Waivers
a) Paul G. Dyck - A development application from Paul G. Dyck to
h~ operate a farm and ranch supply business in the NE 16-21-16-4 was
I presented. Moved by J. Hajash that we approve the application as
1~ a discretionary use. Carried.
b) Martin Jenson - Information was presented regarding .a proposed
application for a mobile home park in SW 16-19-14-4.
c) Glen Alcock - A development application by Glen Alcock for an
auto wreckers in Block X Plan 6336 A.F. Tilley was presented. Moved
by T,Musgrove that we approve the application subject to no objection
by the Village of Tilley and construction of a six foot fence. Carried.
d) Quikway Aviation - A development application by Quikway Aviation
for a hanger on Lots 21-24 at Brooks Airport was presented. Moved
by E, Willms that we approve the application and waive the setback
regulation. Carried.
e) Haxold Brauer - A request from Harald Brauer to waive setback
regulations for a septic field in NW 13-17-17-4 was presented.
Moved by J. Hajash. that we waive the setback regulations for this
septic field. Carried.
f) David Wiens - An application from David Wiens to re-classify a
parcel in SW 32-20-14-4 was presented. Moved by E. Willms that this
matter be tabled and referred to the Village of Duchess. Carried,
Moved by E. Willms that the previous motion be rescinded. Carried.

Moved by E. Willms that we recommend to County Council the
advertising of the change and refer it to the Village of Duchess.
Carried.
g) Estate of Eddy Cote - An application from the Estate of
Eddy Cote to re-classify a parcel in SW 2-19-14-4 from Urban
Fringe to Country Residence was presented. Moved by T. Musgrove
that we recommend to County Council the advertising of the
re-classification. Carried.
h) United Farmers of Alberta Co-op Ltd. - A letter from the
United Farmers of Alberta Co-op Ltd. regarding a proposed farm
supply and bulk fuel business was presented to the Commission.
i) Reesor - D. Coffey advised that as a result of an order of
compliance issued to Mr. Reesor for storing wrecked vehicles, he
is removing them from the site.
j) Application Withdrawn - D. Coffey advised that development
applications by the Brooks Auto Racers Association and H. Astley
have been withdrawn.
k) R. Schuett - An application from R. Schuett for re-classifying
a parcel in NW 15-19-14-4 from Urban Fringe to Country Residence
was presented. Moved by J. Hajash that we recommend to County
Council the advertising of the application. Carried.
