Municipal Planning Commission
September 23, 1981
The regular meeting of the Municipal Planning Commission of the
County of Newell No. 4 was held in the County Office at Brooks,
Alberta on Wednesday, September 23, 1981 commencing at 7:30 p.m.

Minutes of the August 19, 1981 meeting were read to the Commission.
Moved by Councillor Musgrove that we adopt these minutes. Carried.
2. Business from Minutes
1. Mr. Wright - Land Use Change
Moved by Councillor Musgrove that we lift this item from the table.
Carried. Moved by Councillor Musgrove that we proceed with the
necessary advertising for this Land Use Change from Urban Fringe
to Country Residence. Carried.
2. Allen E. Adams - Moved-in House
Discussion took place regarding a moved-in house at SE 32-21-16-4.
Moved by E. Willms that we approve this application. Carried.
3. Sandra Buhler - Moved-in House
Discussion took place regarding a moved-in house at Lot 14 Block 3
Plan 2123 F.B. Rolling Hills. Moved by Councillor Hajash that this
application be refused. Carried.
4. S & S Construction - Moved-in House
Moved by Councillor Musgrove that the, application for moved-in
houses at Lots 2 & 3 Block 10 Plan 7910924 in Patricia be approved.
Carried.
5. Gordon Wenzel - Amendment to Land Use By-law
Moved by Councillor Musgrove that we lift this item from the table.
Carried. Moved by Councillor Musgrove that we proceed with the
necessary advertising for this Land Use Change-from Agricultural
to Country Residence. Carried.
3. New Business
1. Jacob Me~legers - Moved-in House
Discussion took place regarding the re-subdivision of 5 25' lots
into 2 lots at Patricia. Moved by Councillor Musgrove that we
proceed with the necessary advertising for this moved-in house
Development Permit. Carried.
2. Robert Johanneson - Moved-in Modular House
Moved by E. Willms that this application be approved. Carried.
3. Herbert Hemsing - Garage
After discussion on this item it was moved by S. Merkl that this be
tabled pending comments from the Rolling Hills Advisory Committee
as this contravenes the Land Use By-law. Carried.
4. Church of God - Moved-in House
A delegation consisting of Wayne Daniels, Darryl Daniels and
Abe James met with the Commission to discuss this application.
It was agreed that this be referred back to the original application
subject to subdivision into 3 lots being a condition of approval.
5. Mobile Home Park
A delegation consisting of Roy Collister and Butch Olsen, of Stud
Carpenter Service, met with the Commission to discuss a proposed
Mobile Home Park in the Lake Newell area. Moved by Councillor
Musgrove that this be referred to County Council at their September
24, 1981 meeting. Carried.
6. Lakeside Port Producers
Discussion took place regarding an addition to the existing operation.
Moved by Councillor Hajash that this addition be approved subject to
no adverse comments from the Town of Brooks. Carried.
7. Albert Snyder - Land Use Change
Moved by S. Merkl that we proceed with the necessary advertising
for this Land Use Change from Urban Fringe to Country Residence.
Carried.
8. Nick Salonka - Horse Stable
Discussion took place regarding an application for a horse stable
on Lot 1 Block 1 Plan 7910803. Moved by S. Merkl that this
application be approved. Carried.
