The regular Municipal Planning Commission .Meeting of the County
of Newell No. 4 was .held in the County Office at Brooks, Alberta
on .Wednesday, April 21, 1982 commencing at 7:30 p.m.

Minutes
Minutes of the March 24, 1982 .meeting .were .read to the Commission.
Moved by S. Merkl that we adopt these minutes as corrected. Carried.
1. Hillman - Land Use Change
Moved by Councillor Hajash that this application be lifted from the
table. Carried.
Business from Minutes
Discussion took place on this Land Use Change. Moved by Councillor
Hajash that we .recommend the proposed Land Use Change in Pt. NE 7-19-15-4
from Agricultural to Country Residence be approved. Carried.
2. Martin Bandura
Moved by S. Merkl that we lift this motion from the table. Carried.
Discussion took place on this application. Moved by S. Merkl that
the application for Land Use Change in Pt. NE 23-18-16-4 from Agricultural
to Country .Residence be xefused as this subdivision is not .required if
only one house is to be built, and that this area is good agricultural
land. Carried.
3. J. Karasek
Moved by E. Willms that we lift this application from the table. Carried.
Discussion took place on this proposed Land Use Change. Moved by
E. Willms that we recommend the advertising of the Land Use Change
in Pt. SE 17-17-13-4 from Agricultural to Country Residence. Carried.
4. Smith Trucking - Discretionary Use .Permit
D. Coffey advised the Commission that Smith Trucking had changed the
location of the proposed .Cement Plant as previously approved and
after discussion on this item, it was moved by Councillor Hajash
that we approve the new location as .requested by Smith Trucking.
Carried.

' 1. Aimoto Farms - Land Use Change

Application from Aimoto Farms for Land Use Change from Agricultural
to Light Industrial and Country Residence was presented to the
~ Commission. Moved by S. Merkl that we table this application for
j more information. Carried.
2. D.M. Friesen - Land Use Change
Application from D.M. Friesen for Land Use Change. in Block S
Plan 3971 H.Y. from Industrial to Highway Commercial was presented
to the Commission. Moved by Councillor Hajash that we recommend
the .necessary advertising of this Land Use Change from Industrial
to Highway Commercial. Carried.
4.
Moved by E. Willms that we approve the Discretionary Use Development
Permit as presented for this subdivision.
3. Janko Holdings - Moved-in House
Application from Janko Holdings to move a house into the Charles
Subdivision was presented to the Commission along with pictures
of the house to be moved in. Moved by S. Merkl that we approve
this application subject to the house, as shown on the application,
being moved to the Charles Subdivision. Carried.
Other Business
1. NE 8-18-14-4
Information was presented to the Commission in regard to the
Development .Permit for a mobile home to be located in Pt. NE 8-18-14-4.
2. Airport Vicinity Area Structure Plan
Brian Whitson presented a possible proposed Airport Vicinity Area
Structure Plan to the Commission for their information. This
information is to be referred to the County Council for further
study.
