Municipal Planning Commission
July 20, 1983
The regular Municipal Planning Commission Meeting of the County
of Newell No. 4 was held in the County Office at Brooks, Alberta
on Wednesday, July 20, 1983 commencing at 4:00 p.m.

Minutes
Moved by S. Merkl that the June 22, 1983 and Special June 24, 1983
Municipal Planning Commission minutes be approved as amended.
Carried.
Business from the Mintues
1. Bob McKean - Release Letter of Credit
Moved by Councillor Scheuerman that we recommend to Council that
Bob McBean's letter of credit be released. Carried.

2. H. Burk - Feed Lot - Intensive Livestock Operation
Moved by Councillor Hajash that we waive our By-law for required
Certificate of Compliance from the Department of Agriculture with
respect to Seperation Distance only. Carried.
Moved by Councillor Scheuerman that taking into consideration a signed
letter from Steve Karasek stating he has no objections to an Intensive
Livestock Operation on the H. Burk property (SW 6-20-14-4) providing
the development does not come any closer to the Karasek residence
(NE 31-19-14-4) than the exsisting corrals. We approve this
application subject to development expanding north and maintaining
the exsisting separation distance of 735 feet. Carried.
3. Pat Shepherd - Moved in Trailer for Office
Moved by E. Willms that we approve this application subject to
this trailer not becoming a residence on the property. Carried.
4. Gerald Robinson
The Development Control Officer reported on the expansion of this
operation. Complaints from residents were also reported to the
Commission. The Development Control Officer is to check this
development and report back.
5. Ohama - Moved in Trailer
The Development Control Officer reported on this trailer.

Bill Plumer - Amendment to Land Use By-law - NW 28-19-14-4
Moved by S. Merkl we recommend to Council we advertise this
admendment subject to suitable access. Carried.
2. John Neely - Moved in Residence on Farm North of Patricia
Moved by Councillor Hajash that we approve this application.
Carried.
3. James Galbraith - Moved in House for Addition - Cassils
Moved by E. Willms that we approve this application. Carried.

4. Rasmuson - Barn Set Back from Road Only 57 Feet - Duchess
Moved by Councillor Scheuerman that a letter be sent to Mr. Rasmuson
advising him that this contravenes our By-law. Carried.
5 William Bell - Moved In House - Bow city(~Lt~
Moved by E. Willms we approve this application. Carried.
6. Abandoned Gravel Pit - Bow City
This item was referred to.the Development Control Officer for
the next meeting.

1. Appeals
The Development Control Officer reported on the appeals of
Pat Shepherd #288 and Frank Berry 4261.
