Municipal Planning Commission Meeting
November 23, 1983

The regular M.P.C. Meeting of the County of Newell No. 4 was held
in the County Office at Brooks, Alberta on Wednesday, Nova 23/83
commencing at 4:00 p.m.

Chairman
The Secretary opened the meeting and called for the nomination of
a Chairman for the M.P.C. V. Fabian nominated by A. Scheuerman.
Moved by Councillor Workes that nominations cease. Carried.
Chairman Fabian took over the Chair.
2. Vice Chairman
Nominations were opened for the position of Vice Chairman for
the M.P.C. A. Scheuerman nomination by F. Workes. Moved by
E. Willms that nominations cease. Carried.
3, Minutes
Minutes of the August 24th, October 27th & November 10th M.P.C.
Meetings were read to the Committee. Moved by E. Willms
that we adopt these minutes as read. Carried.
4, Old Business
1. Pat Shepherd - Trailer Office
~ , The Development Officer advised that the people '

Shepherd House - Patricia
The Committee was advised that Mr. Shepherd had been fined some
$200.00 and that he will be moving this house very shortly.
2. Gerald Robinson - Light Industrial Area
The Development Officer advised that this area has now been clean up.
5, New Business
1. Clive Schaupmeyer - Land Use Change - NW 34-19-14-4
Application from Clive Schaupmeyer for Land Use Change from Urban
Fringe to Country Residence for subdivision was presented to the
Committee. After discussion it was moved by Councillor Workes
that we approve the advertising of this application. Carried.
2. C.E. Glover - Land Use Change - NE 24-20-13-4
Application for Land Use Change from Country Residence to
Commercial for service station and concession operation was
presented to the Committee. After discussion, it was moved by
E. Willms that we approve the advertising of this application.
Carried.
3. Rudolf Koch - Land Use Change - NE 7-19-14-4
Application for Land Use Change from Urban Fringe to Industrial for
a 3 acre parcel was presented to the Committee. After discussion,
it was moved by Councillor Scheuerman that we table this application
for more information. Carried.

4. Frac Sand Operation
Information was presented to the Committee in regard to this
operation.
5. Mahadeva - Land Use Change - SE 6-20-14-4
Application for Land Use Change from Agricultural to Country
Residence was presented to the Committee. After discussion on
this item, it was moved by Councillor Scheuerman that we approve
the advertising of this application. Carried.
