HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984-09-19 Municipal Planning Commission (Regular) MinutesCounty of Newell No. 4 Municipal Planning Commission September 19, 1984 The regular Municipal Planning Commission Meeting of the County of Newell No. 4 was held in the County Office at Brooks, Alberta on Wednesday, September 19, 1984 commencing at 1:00 p.m. Members Present Chairman Councillors Representatives Planner Dev. Officer Secretary V. Fabian F. Workes A. Scheuerman E. Willms S. Rasmussen G. Klassen J. Manning M. Seely 1. Minutes Minutes of the August 22, 1984 meeting were read to the Commission. Moved by Councillor Scheuerman that we adopt these minutes as read. Carried. 2. Business from Minutes 3-3 G. Robinson The Development Control Officer reported on G. Robinson's progress. 4-3 A. Puddister ~~ The Development Control Officer reported on A. Puddister's progress. Moved by E. Willms that a letter be sent to Puddister's advising them that their irrevocable letter of credit must be received by October 23, 1984 or the permit for the addition will be deemed void. This letter should also advise them that, if this happens, it will be 6 months before they can reapply. Carried. 3. Applications The Development Control Officer presented the following applications: 1. Mattheis Engineering - Land Use Change Application for land use change from Mattheis Engineering Ltd. to change the classification of a parcel of land in NE 29-22-14-4 from Agriculture to Highway Commercial, was presented to the Commission. After discussion, it was moved by Councillor Scheuerman that we recommend approval of this application to County Council for advertising. Carried. 2. D. Cozac - Development Application from D. Cozac for development of an Industrial Shop and Office was presented to the Commission. After reviewing the information, it was moved by Councillor Workes that we approve this application for advertising. Carried. 3. M. & C. Newberry - Moved-in Mobile Home Application from M. & C. Newberry for a moved-in mobile home was presented to the Commission. After discussion, it was moved by S. Rasmussen that we approve this application for advertising. Carried. 4. Lakeside Farm Industries Application from Lakeside Farm Industries for a moved-in trailer was presented to the Commission. After reviewing the information, it was moved by E. Willms that we approve this application for advertising. Carried. 4. Subdivisions 1. 84 SE 70 - Village of Tilley An application was presented to the Commission for their consideration. After review it was moved by Councillor Scheuerman that we recommend to County Council the approval of this application. Carried. 2. 84 SE 61 - Hutterian Brethren of Springview Information was presented to the Commission in regard to this application. After discussion, it was moved by E. Willms that we recommend to County Council that we approve this application subject to the Commission's recommendations for a registered easement of 40' to provide legal road access to the proposed parcel. Carried. 3. 84 SE 63 - Willard Lutes Information was presented to the Commission in regard to this application. After discussion, it was moved by Councillor Scheuerman that we recommend to County Council the approval of this application subject to the Commission's recommendations. Carried. 4. 84 SE 65 - Gabriel & Julia Varady This application was presented to the Commission for their consideration. After discussion on this application, it was moved by Councillor Scheuerman that we recommend to County Council the refusal of this application subject to the Commission's recommendations. Carried. 5. Other 1. Guidelines for Country Residential Subdivisions The Municipal Planning Commission reviewed these guidelines which are to be brought before Council at a later meeting. 2. Emerson Park The land use change at Emerson Park was discussed. This item is to be dealt with at the same time as the subdivision. 6. Adjourn Meeting adjourned at 4:30 p.m.
