The regular Municipal Planning Commission Meeting of the County
of Newell No. 4 was held in the County Office at Brooks, Alberta
on Tuesday, August 20, 1985 commencing at 1:30 p.m.

1. Minutes
Minutes of the July 23, 1985 meeting were read to the Commission.
Moved by E. Willms that we adopt these minutes as corrected.
Carried.
2. Business from Minutes
3-4 Permit 549
Moved by Councillor Scheuerman that we lift this application
from the table. Carried.
Moved by Councillor Scheuerman that we approve this application
subject to Ann Puddister giving the County of Newell an irrevocable
letter of credit from her bank in the amount of $2000.00 to
guarantee the completion of this addition. Carried.
4-1 Varady Land Use Change
Moved by Councillor Workes that this application be lifted from
the table. Carried.
After discussion on this item, it was moved by Councillor Workes
that this item be tabled until the applicant provides the Commission
with a scale drawing regarding this Land Use proposal. Carried.
3. Permits
1. ~f~556 - Robert L. Brodie - Moved-in Mobile Home
Moved by S. Rasmusson that we approve this permit for advertising
subject to the original dwelling not being used as a residence.
Carried.
4. Land Use Change
1. Ray Kimmel - Pt. NE 9-20-13-4 - Agriculture to Countr Residence

Moved by Councillor Scheuerman that we table this application
for more information. Carried.
2. Patsie Suitor - Pt. SE 8-19-15-4 - Agriculture to Countr Residence
Moved by Councillor Workes that we recommend to Council approval
for advertising subject to: 1) the final boundaries to be determined
is by registered documents; 2) if this parcel is not registered
i within one year this application will become null and void.

Moved by Councillor Workes that we approve this application.
Carried.
6. Subdivisions
1. 85 SE 58 - Kenney
Moved by S. Rasmusson that we recommend to Council the approval
of this application. Carried.
7. Other
1. Kennels
The Development Control Officer, G. Woltman, advised the Commission
of a complaint regarding a kennel operation on the Rex Tryhorn
property on Part SW 9-19-14-4. A discussion took place on this
kennel and the Commission was advised that no permit had been
obtained. Moved by E. Willms that a letter be sent to Mr. Tryhorn
advising him that, due to the fact that he has not obtained
a permit, he must cease the operation of this kennel. Carried.
2. Two Dwellings on Countr Residential Acreage
Discussion took place on this item.
3. Three Dwellings on a Quarter Section
Discussion took place on this item.
4. Auto Wrecking Business - Dale Flatla
Discussion took place on this item.
