Municipal Planning Commission Meeting
May 31, 1988
The regular Municipal Planning Commission Meeting of the County
of Newell No. 4 was held in the County Office at Brooks, Alberta
on Tuesday, May 31, 1988 commencing at 1:30 p.m•

1, Minutes
Minutes of the April 26, 1988 meeting were presented to the
Commission. Moved by Councillor Nelson that we adopt these
minutes as presented. Carried.
2, Business from Minutes
4-3 Permit X6746 - D. Gray
This permit has been withdrawn.
5-1 Land Use Change - A. Irwin
This application has been withdrawn.
9-3 Com laint - Block G Plan 7611017
The Development Control Officer gave a report on this item.
3, Permits
1. #755 - Albertosaurus Gift Shop - Gift Shop
Block A Plan 6563 E.T. SE 24-20-13-4
Information was presented to the Commission on this permit.
Moved by Councillor Fabian that we approve this application
and proceed with advertising. Carried.
2. X6756 - Newell Hutterite Colon - New School - NW 8-23-18-4
Information was presented to the Commission on this permit.
Moved by E. Willms that we approve this application and proceed
with advertising. Carried. ,
3. X6757 - Reinhold Schuett - Moved-in House
Lot 2 Block E Plan 8111866
Information was presented to the Commission on this permit.
Moved by Councillor Nelson that we approve this application
and proceed with advertising. Carried.
4, Land Use Changes
1. Donald V. Martin - A ricultural to Institutional - SE 8-19-14-4
Information was presented to the Commission on this item. As
a land use change is not required, it was moved by Councillor
Fabian that we refund the deposit fee to Mr. Martin on this
application. Carried.
5, Licences - Home Occupations
1. ~~6 Carol Simms SW 1-19-15-4 - Pet Clipping & Groomin
Information was presented to the Commission on this item. Moved
by Councillor Nelson that we approve this application. Carried.
6, Subdivisions
1. 88 SE 29 - J.R. Askin
After further discussion on this application, it was moved by
Councillor Nelson that we table this for more information.
Carried.
2. 88 SE 31 - G. Karaki
After review of this application, it was moved by E. Willms
that we recommend to County Council that only the farmstead
and improvements be approved for this subdivision. Carried.
3, 88 SE 33 - H. Nannt
After review, it was moved by Councillor Fabian that we approve
this application and recommend it to County Council. Carried.
4. 88 SE 35 - A. Rommens
After review, it was moved by E. Buday that we approve this
application and recommend it to County Council. Carried.
5. 88 SE 36 - D. Martin
After review, it was moved by Councillor Fabian that we approve
this application subject to Public Reserve at $1500.00/acre
and recommend this to County Council. Carried.
6. 88 SE 39 - Terris Diesel
After review, it was moved by E. Willms that we approve this
application and recommend it to County Council. Carried.
7. 88 SE 40 - M. Davidson
After review, it was moved by Councillor Nelson that we approve
this application subject to final approval by the E.I.D., and
recommend this to the County Council. Carried.
8. 88 SE 42 - N. Young
After review, it was moved by Councillor Fabian that we table
this application for more information. Carried.
9. 88 SE 44 - T. Hulsman
After review, it was moved by Councillor Wells that we approve
this application and recommend it to County Council. Carried.
7, Delegations
1. E. Lukye
Mrs. Lukye met with the Commission to discuss their proposed
subdivision. After a lengthy discussion on this item, Mrs.
Lukye agreed to review this further and possibly proceed with
a new application.
2. G. Karaki
Mr. & Mrs. Karaki attended the meeting to discuss application
88 SE 31.
Excused from Meeting
Moved by Councillor Fabian that he be excused from the meeting
at 3:30 p.m. Carried.
g, Development Report
The Development Report for May was presented to the Commission.
q, Other Business
1. Hamlet Zoning
Information was presented to the Commission on this report.
2. Old Land Use Changes
Information was presented to the Commission on the cancelling
of old Land Use Changes that were never registered. The Admin-
istrator advised that no replies were received on any letters
sent out.
3. Parcel - NE 12-19-15-4
Information was presented to the Commission in regard to this
item for clarification in the new By-law.
