Minutes of the Municipal Planning Commission Meeting
June 26, 1990
The regular Municipal Planning Commission Meeting of the County
of Newell No. 4 was held in the County Office at Brooks, Alberta
on Tuesday, June 26, 1990 commencing at 1:30 p.m.

1• Minutes
Minutes of the May 29, 1990 meeting were presented. Moved by
E. Buday that we adopt these minutes as circul ated. Carried.
2• Business from Minutes
There was no business arising from the minutes .
3• Permits
1. 4912 - Irwin Dyck - Moved-in Mobile Home
Lot 5 Block 1 Plan 8111352 - Cassils
After review, it was mo ved by E. Buday that we approve this
application and proceed with the necessary advertising. Carried.
2. 9913 - Steve Kowal - Auto Crushing Service
Lot 2 Block 1 Plan 8211419 - Brooks
After review, it was moved by G. Niznik that we table this application
and request Mr. Kowal to attend the next meeting to discuss this
Permit further. Carried.
3. ~~914 - E.I.D. - Meeting House (Newell Group Use Camp)
NE 18-17-14-4 - Brooks
'~~ After review, it was moved by Councillor Nelson that we approve
~/ this application and proceed with the necessary advertising.
Carried.
4. #915 - Prairie Diesel Ltd. - Diesel Repair Shop
Lot 1 Block 1 Plan 8211419 - Brooks
After review, it was moved by G. Niznik that we approve this
application subject to the condition that no outside storage
be allowed and, further, that we proceed with the necessary
advertising of this Permit. Carried.
4• Land Use Changes
1. G.W. Tomlinson - Pt. NE 36-18-15-4
Application for Land Use Change at the above-noted location was
presented. After review, it was moved by E. Buday tht we approve
this application and recommend it to County Council for approval,
and that a copy of this be sent to the Town of Brooks for their
comments. Carried.
5. Home Occupation Licences
Nil.
6• Subdivisions
1. 90 SE 19 - Northcott
This application remained tabled.
2. 90 SE 60 - E.I.D.
After review, it was moved by Councillor Bulger that we approve
this application and recommend it to County Council for approval,
and that we defer the reserve on the E.I.D. lots. Carried.
7• Other Business
1. R. Breakell Propert - Lake Newell Area
Letter from Blake, Cassels & Graydon was presented to the Commission
in regard to this development. After discussion, it was recommended
that this file be sent to our solicitors, Brownlee Fryett, for
further comments and action to be taken.

Moved by Councillor Bulger that this meeting adjourn at 3:00 p.m.
