MINUTES OF THE MUNICIPAL PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING
MARCH 23, 1992
The regular Municipal Planning Commission Meeting of the County
of Newell No. 4 was held in the County Office at Brooks, Alberta
on Monday, March 23, 1992, commencing at 1:30 p.m.

1. EXCUSED FROM MEETING
There were no requests to be excused from the meeting. In the
absence of Chairman Wells, Vice Chairman Buday took over the
chair.

2. MINUTES
Minutes of the February 24, 1992 meeting were presented. Moved
by G. Niznik that we adopt these minutes as circulated and amended.
Carried.

BUSINESS FROM MINUTES
There was no business arising from the Minutes.
PERMITS
1. ~~1045 - Clifford Anderson - Mobile Home - NW21-16-15-4 - Rainier
This application was presented to the Commission, after discussion
it was moved by Councillor Bulger that we approve this application
and proceed with the necessary advertising, and further that we
give a waiver of set back of the 40 metres for the location of this
mobile home. Carried.
LAND USE CHANGES
Nil
HOME OCCUPATION LICENSES
1. ~~31 - Cheryl Erickson - Word Processing-Secretarial - Lot 1,
Block 3, Plan 8010762 - Bassano
An application for word processing and secretarial operation was
presented, and after discussion, moved by G. Niznik that we approve
this application, and proceed with the necessary advertising. Carried.
SUBDIVISIONS
1. 92 SE 5 - Ulrich Kunz
Mr. B.L. Blieske, of U.M.A. Engineering Limited, was in attendance
during this subdivision application. After a lengthy discussion
and presentation on this application, it was moved by Councillor
Bulger that we recommend approval of this application to County
Council, subject to Block F being consolidated with Block 3. Carried.
2. 92 SE 12 - Schaffer
This was an application for the Town of Bassano, and was presented
as information only to the M.P.C.
3. 92 SE 20 - Siegs
j Information was presented on this application, it was then moved
' by Councillor Wallace that we table this report until the next M.P.C.
meeting for more information.
8. OTHER BUSINESS

1. Brooks Motorcycle Club
Further information was presented to the Commission in regard to
the proposed site by the Motorcycle Club, the site being adjacent
to the Brooks Landfill site. After a lengthy discussion on this
matter, and the M.P.C. touring the site, it was then moved by
Councillor Wallace that we table this application for more information.
Carried.
2. DEVELOPMENT REPORT FOR MARCH
This report was presented. Moved by Councillor Wallace
that we accept this report. Carried.
3. GEM TEACHERAGES
More information on this proposed subdivision will be presented
at the next M.P.C. Meeting.
9. ADJOURN .
Moved by Councillor Wallace that this meeting adjourn at
3:30 p.m. Carried.
