Minutes of the Municipal Planning Commission Meeting
January 26, 1993
The regular Municipal Planning Commission Meeting of the County
of Newell No. 4 was held in the County Office at Brooks, Alberta
on Tuesday, January 26, 1993 commencing at 10:00 a.m.

No members requested to be excused from the meeting.
2. ~ Minutes
Minutes of the December 29, 1992 meeting were presented. Moved
by Councillor Barg that we adopt these minutes as circulated.
Carried.
3. Business from Minutes
There was no business arising from the minutes.
4. Delegation
1. _H. Jager Development
H. Jager Development met with Council and presented an over-view
of the proposed Area Structure Plan for the Lake Newell development.
'~ / Discussion also took place regarding an outline plan of the proposed
/ j development area. There being no further discussion on this item,
V the Commission advised H. Jager Development that a decision would
be made on their proposals later in the meeting.
5, Land Use Changes
1. Nick Salonka - W'~ Lot 1 Plan 8610237
Country Residence to Mobile Home Park
Mr. Salonka was in attendance at the meeting and presented his
proposal to the Commission. There being no further questions,
Mr. Salonka was advised that a decision would be made on this
matter later in the meeting.
Lunch
The Commission recessed for lunch from 12:00 - 1:15 p.m.
6. Permits
1. ~~1102 - Phyllis Smit - Mobile Home - SW 16-18-14-4 - Brooks
The Development Control Officer presented information on this
Development Permit. After a lengthy discussion, it was moved
by Councillor Loewen that we table this application for more
information. Carried.

Land Use Changes (Cont'd.)
Further discussion took place regarding the Land Use Application
in W1~ Lot 1 Plan 8610237 from Country Residence to Mobile Home
Park. Moved by Councillor Barg that we recommend to County Council
that this application be refused as it is not compatible with the
present urban fringe zoning for this area. Carried.
7, I Home Occupation Licences
Nil.
g, Subdivisions
1. 93 SE 3 - E.I.D. - NW 35-19-13-4
Doug Fleming presented this application. After discussion, it was
moved by G. Niznik that we recommend approval of this application.
Carried.
2. 93 SE 4 - Reule - SW 1-15-14-4
After receiving information on this application, it was moved
by Councillor Barg that we recommend approval of this application
and that no cash in-lieu-of Public Reserve be charged. Carried.
9, I Other Business
Nil.
10. Development Report
The Development Report for January was presented. Moved by
G. Niznik that we accept this report. Carried.
H Jager Development (Cont'd.)
Further discussion took place regarding this presentation. Moved
by Councillor Loewen that we recommend to County Council that
H. Jager Development proceed with an outline plan of the Greenwald
Inlet Area for presentation to Council. Carried.
11. ~ Adjourn
Moved by G. Niznik that this meeting adjourn at 2:45 p.m. Carried.
