Minutes of Municipal Planning Commission Meeting
May 25, 1993
The regular Municipal Planning Commission Meeting of the County of Newell #4 was held in the
County Office at Brooks, Alberta on Tuesday, May 25, 1993 commencing at 1:30 p.m.

1. ~ Excused from Meeting
There were no requests for members to be excused from the meeting.
2. I Minutes
Minutes of the April 27, 1993 meeting were presented. Moved by Councillor Barg that we adopt
these minutes as circulated. Carried.
3. ~ Business from Minutes
' 5.1 Land Use Change • Gallup
7-4 Subdivision 93 SE 20 • Gallup • Moved by Councillor Barg that we lift this item from the
table. Carried.
7.3 Subdivision 93 SE 30 • Gallup
1~+ Further information was presented to the Commission regarding these applications and Land Use
~" Change. A map of the area showing the location of buildings and fences, etc. was also
presented to the Commission for information. After discussion, it was moved by Councillor Barg
that we table these items and advise the surveyor, George Munro, that we require further
information on the proposed subdivision and, in particular, the cemetery site and what options
Consumer Affairs have given far the operation of the cemetery. Carried.
Upon receipt of this information, further discussions will take place regarding the subdivision and
Land Use Change.
4. ~ Permits
1. #1138 • Wilf Conners • 2-truck Garage • Lot 2 Block 9 Plan 2819 OB • Patricia
Information was presented to the Commission regarding this application indicating the garage will
be built to a size of 28 X 36 with a height of 13' and that this meets the requirements of the
Zoning By-law for a garage of this type. After discussion, it was moved by Councillor Loewen
that we approve the application and proceed with the necessary advertising. Carried.

Mr. & Mrs. J. Bailey met with the Commission and presented further information regarding
Development Permit X1125. Anew plan was presented indicating that the building and sewer
systems will be located on one parcel and the unit will be physically joined with only one set of
services. After further discussion, it was moved by G. Niznik that we approve this application
and proceed with the necessary advertising. Carried.
9. ~ Other Business
1. Jager Development • Engineering Report
A copy of an Engineering Report from Alberta Environment was presented to the Commission for
their information.
2. June Meeting Dates
Discussion took place regarding the possible change of June meeting dates to allow the M.P.C.
to review the proposed subdivision application being presented by Jager Development on the Lake
Newell Project. Once further information is received, a special meeting date will be set.
10. ~ Development Report
The Development Report was presented. Moved by G. Niznik that we accept this report.
Carried.
11. ~ Adjourn
Moved by Councillor Loewen that the meeting adjourn at 2:40 p.m. Carried.
