Minutes of Municipal Planning Commission Meeting
August 31, 1993
The regular Municipal Planning Commission Meeting of the County of Newell #4 was held in the
County Office at Brooks, Alberta on Tuesday, August 31, 1993 commencing at 1:30 p.m.

1. Excused from Meeting
Moved by Councillor Scheuerman that we excuse P. Wallace from this meeting. Carried.
,.., In the absence of Chairman Wallace, Vice Chairman Barg took over the chair.
2. Minutes
Minutes of the July 27, 1993 meeting were presented. Moved by Councillor Loewen that we
adopt these minutes as circulated and corrected. Carried.

4-1 I. Wigemyr - SW 31-18-15.4 -Proposed Land Use Chanoe
Further discussion took place regarding this proposed Land Use Change and Subdivision and the
Secretary was directed to send Mr. Wigemyr a letter indicating that he should contact the S.E.
Alberta Regional Planning Commission to discuss this application in detail. Following these
discussions, this application will be reviewed further.

The Secretary gave an up-date on .this Permit.

4. Permits
1. X1168 -Jack Hall & Bud Dennett -Mobile Home -Lot 1 Block 1 Plan 8210607 • Brooks
Information was presented on this Development Permit. Moved by Councillor Scheuerman that
we approve this Permit and proceed with the necessary advertising. Carried.
5. Land Use Changes
Nil.
6. Home Occupation Licences
Nil.
7. Subdivisions
1. 93 SE 20 -Gallup &
2. 93 SE 30 • Gallup
Moved by G. Niznik that we lift these two applications from the table. Carried.

After review and discussion, it was moved by Councillor Loewen that we recommend approval
of Application 93 SE 20 & 93 SE 30 to County Council for final approval subject to an Irrigation
Agreement with the E.I.D. for water, a Servicing Agreement with the County of Newell for
access, and cash in-lieu-of Public Reserve being set at S 1500.00 per acre. Carried.
3. 93 SE 77 - Kristiansen - SE 18.15-13.4
After review, it was moved by G. Niznik that we recommend this application to County Council
for approval subject to a Servicing Agreement for access to the property. Carried.
4. 93 SE 78 -Piper - NE 16-17-16-4
After review, it was moved by Councillor Scheuerman that we recommend this application to
County Council for approval subject to consolidation of the area into the balance of the quarter.
Carried.

5. 93 SE 79 -Young - SE 18-18.14-4
After review, it was moved by G. Niznik that we table this application and invite Mrs. Young to
our next meeting for further discussion. Carried.
6. 93 SE 80 -Young - NE 19-18-14.4
After review, it was moved by G. Niznik that we table this application and invite Mrs. Young to
our next meeting for further discussion. Carried.
8. Other Business
°` 1. Set-back Regulations
A report on the various set-back regulations was presented to the Commission for information.
After further discussion, Doug Fleming advised that he will do a report on this and present it
back to the Commission for further study and review.
9. Development Resort
~ The Development Report for the month of August was presented. Moved by G. Niznik that we
accept this Report. Carried.
10. Adjourn
Moved by Councillor Loewen that this meeting adjourn at 3:15 p.m. Carried.
