Minutes of Municipal Planning Commission Meeting
January 25, 1994
The regular Municipal Planning Commission Meeting of the County of Newell #4 was held in the
County Office at Brooks, Alberta on Tuesday, January 25, 1994 commencing at 1:30 p.m.

No members asked to be excused from this meeting.

Minutes of the November 30, 1993 meeting were presented to the Commission. Moved by
Councillor Loewen that we adopt these minutes as circulated subject to questioning. Carried.

and requirements. -~
3. Business from Minutes
7-2 93 SE 92 - F. Skuban -Lot 6 Block 1 Plan 8211419
Moved by Councillor Scheuerman that this item be lifted from the table. Carried.
Mr. Robert Smith was in attendance, representing Fern Skuban. After discussion on this
subdivision, the applicant was left with various options that could be pursued. Mr. Smith advised
he will be having further discussions with the S.E. Alberta Regional Planning Commission.

Moved by L. Buday that this item be lifted from the table. Carried.
After discussion, it was moved by Councillor Scheuerman that Public Reserve be set at S 1000.00
per acre. Carried.
Moved by L. Buday that we recommend to Council the approval of this subdivision subject to a
Service Agreement with the County for the roads and provision of joint access to the utility lot,
a Water Agreement with the E.I.D. and Public Reserve of $1000.00 per acre. Carried.

After discussion, it was moved by Councillor Scheuerman that we approve this licence. Carried.
7. Subdivisions
1. 93 SE 117 -Joe & Arda Prins - SE 1-19-15-4
Discussion took place on this item but the Commission could not approve anything as we are still
awaiting an application for Land Use Change, and also the S.E. Alberta Regional Planning
Commission is waiting for an extension on this subdivision.

2. 94 SE 6 -Phillip Barg - Block A Plan 6866 J K
Moved by Councillor Loewen that we excuse Councillor Barg from discussion and voting on this
item. Carried.
Chairman Barg left the meeting. In the absence of the Chairman, Councillor Loewen took the
chair.
Moved by L. Buday that we recommend to Council the approval of this subdivision subject to
entering into a Water Agreement with the E.I.D. Carried.

8. Development Resort
The Development Control Officer presented this report for December, 1993 & January, 1994.
Moved by Councillor Loewen that we accept this report. Carried.

9. Correspondence
1. Alberta Agriculture -Intensive Livestock Operations Committee

Letter from Alberta Agriculture regarding Intensive Livestock Operations Committee was presented
to the Commission for information.
2. Subdivision Activities
A report on the subdivision activities within the County for the last few years was presented to
the Commission. After discussion, it was decided this item would be brought back to the next
meeting when members would have more time to review the document.
3. Appeal Hearing - B. Vikedal
The Planner advised of an Appeal Hearing for B. Vikedal.
