~ Minutes of Municipal Planning Commission Meeting
February 22, 1994
The regular Municipal Planning Commission Meeting of the County of Newell #4 was held in the
County Office at Brooks, Alberta on Tuesday, February 22, 1994 commencing at 1:30 p.m.

1. Excused from Meeting
Moved by L. Buday that Councillor Loewen be excused from this meeting. Carried.
2. Minutes
Minutes of the January 25, 1994 meeting were presented to the Commission. Moved by L.
Buday that we adopt these minutes as circulated subject to questioning. Carried.
3. Business from Minutes
Councillor Scheuerman presented information on a meeting he attended for the discussion of
Intensive Livestock Operations.
4. Permits
1. #1161 -James Beaver • Greenhouse • Lot 9 Block 1 Plan 9010982 -Brooks
Moved by B. Bergen that we lift this item from the table. Carried.
After discussion, it was moved by Councillor Scheuerman that we approve this Permit. Carried.

2. #1196 -Joe & Arda Prins -Addition of 4 Stalls to Mobile Home Park - SE 1.19-15-4
Joe Prins was in attendance to provide information on this Permit. After discussion, it was
moved by L. Buday that we table this Permit for more information. Carried.
3. #1197 -Dick Dyck -Building of an Accessory Building -Lot 4 Block 1 Plan 8111352
After discussion, it was moved by B. Bergen that we approve this Permit subject to the wall
height not exceeding 3; metres, a waiver on the total height restriction to 4.5 metres, and a
waiver of the floor area for 1200 sq. ft. Carried.
4. #1198 -Bertha Farms - 5000 Head Feedlot - E'/Z 35.20-13.4
After discussion, it was moved by Councillor Scheuerman that we table this Permit for more
information. Carried.

5. Land Use Changes
1. Joe Prins - SE 1-19-15-4
Moved by Councillor Scheuerman that we recommend to County Council the approval of this Land
Use Change from Urban Fringe to Country Residential. Carried.
2. Cam Christiansen (for Leo Skanderup) • NE 24-16-14.4
After discussion, it was moved by B. Bergen that we table this application for more information.
Carried.
Cam Christiansen and Leo Skanderup are to be invited to our next M.P.C. Meeting.
6. Home Occuaation Licences

Moved by Councillor Scheuerman that we approve this Licence. Carried.

7. Subdivisions

Moved by Councillor S¢heuerman that we recommend to County Council the approval of this
subdivision. Carried.
2. 94 SE 13 -E.I.D. - SE 11-15.13-4
Moved by L. Buday that we recommend to County Council the approval of this subdivision.
Carried.

Moved by B. Bergen that we excuse Councillor Barg from discussion and voting on this

Councillor Barg left the Council Chambers. L. Buday took the chair in Chairman Barg's absence.
Moved by B. Bergen that we recommend to County Council the approval of this subdivision.
Carried.
Chairman Barg returned to the Council Chambers and took the chair.

1. Subdivision Activities
Discussion took place on the subdivision activities handed out at the last meeting. Chairman Barg
advised that the new application fee was set at S 150.00 and also advised of other fee structure
changes.
10. Other Business t
1. March M.P.C. Meeting
Moved by L. Buday that the March M.P.C. Meeting be held on March 22, 1994 commencing at
1:30 p.m. Carried.
11. Adjourn
Moved by Councillor Scheuerman that the meeting adjourn at 4:30 p.m. Carried.
